We are pleased to announce the first annual Dr. Aryeh Zinkin Memorial Scholarship Brunch. The brunch, featuring renowned Jewish Montessori educator Rabbi Jonathan Rietti, will take place on Sunday, August 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Congregation Ohr Torah, on the eve of Dr. Zinkin's fifth yahrtzeit.
Announced at the gala dinner in Dr. Zinkin's honor in 2019, this annual event will help us to kickstart our scholarship campaign each year. Dr. Zinkin, zichrono livracha, left an indelible legacy of carrying on Torah learning from one generation to the next, and the scholarship event is a testament to his values.
Each year, we will highlight the contributions of a faculty member and parent volunteer who have helped us to bring vibrant Jewish learning to the next generation. This year's honorees are Morah Niza Kassin, a veteran of our early childhood program, and Ms. Rhea Zucker, a stalwart parent volunteer for the past ten years.
