Rav Simcha Hochbaum was
a long time student and musmach of Reb
Shlomo Carlebach, z"l. Before making aliya ,
he was the Rabbi of The Eldridge Street
Synagogue in New York City and a Judaic
Studies instructor at Bi-Cultural Day School in
Stamford CT. Rav Simcha now resides in the
Avraham Avinu neighborhood of Chevron and teaches at Reishit Yeshiva in Beit
Shemesh and the Tiferet Center in Ramat
Beit Shemesh. In addition to his educational
activities, he is the Director of Tourism for
the Hebron Fund, and gives spiritual and
insightful tours of Chevron, the Old City of
Jerusalem, the Kotel Tunnels as well as
neighborhoods throughout Yehuda and
Shomron.
The schedule will be as follows:
Friday Night - A special Carlebach Minyan led by Rav Simcha at 4:20 PM in Ahavas Achim
Friday Night Tish - Everyone is invited to a heimsha tish led by Rav Simcha at 8:00 PM in Ahavas Achim. With heimish food , singing , and inspiring divreh torah and stories.
Shabbos Day - Rav Simcha will be speaking at the main minyan in Ohr Torah (9:00 PM)
Shalosh Seudos - Rav Simcha will be speaking at Ahavas Achim following Mincha (4:10 PM)
Motzai Shabbos - The entire community is invited Motzieh Shabbos Malava Malka in the Ohr Torah Beis Medrash. A special program dedicated to the city and people of Chevron including a short video presentation , singing ,and stories from Chevron
